Let's Get Married!

It's that time of the year again!  Wedding show time!  Let's Get Married's Grand Salon Marions-Nous is Canada's largest bridal show featuring hundreds of wedding specialists showcasing their products and services for the engaged couples.  And of course, we'll be showcasing our decor and invitations!


Here is the show information:

Two stunning bridal fashion shows daily : 1:15 PM and 4:00 PM

Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Regular Admission Tickets: $10.00 per person (available at the door)

This year, we will be holding a draw for everyone who passes by our booth.  Here are the 3 prizes we will be giving away:

1. Full wedding coordination package up to a value of $1500
2. A $200 Gift Certificate towards one of our decoration packages of your choice.
3. A $100 Gift Certifcate towards personalized invitations and/or stationery.

Elegant Wedding Show

Finally... a little late, but as promised, here are the photos from our little table at the Elegant Wedding Show last month!  All the vendors' booths were amazing and very creative!  For those of you who had a chance to attend the show, hope you enjoyed being pampers with drinks and food and enjoyed meeting the many vendors who will help make your upcoming wedding unforgettable!

Here's our tiny little table that made an impact on those who passed by.  We chose black and yellow as our theme colors.  The centerpiece featured three tall cylinder vases filled with yellow water and a black ribbon around the top of each vase.  Bunches of yellow hydrangeas topped the vases with some black feathers for the finishing touch.  Smaller vases simply circled the taller ones with roses and chrysanthemums to add sophistication to the overall look of the tablescape.






Of course we featured our invitations at the Show.  Going along with the yellow theme, we created a double layer flat invitation with matching place cards, menus, table number and favor boxes.





These round menus would be perfect to top a charger plate.



And here are a few fun shots from the rest of the Show... As the guests entered Le Windsor, they were all greeted by this lovely lady with champagnes as their first treat!  Just imagine having her at your cocktail hour!

2010 in Review

2010 flew by so fast! So much happened at A Timeless Celebration, it was such a wonder year for us!

The first and the most important addition to the company, Gloria Choi! She officially joined the company when we kicked off our year at the Marions-Nous Wedding Show at the beginning of January.

After the wedding show, we immediately started with our expansion project. From a 300 sq ft showroom to a 1000 sq ft showroom!

Before all this expansion excitement, we were surprised by WeddingWire with a 2010 Bride's Choice Award! We totally didn't see that coming, it was such an honor, thank you brides and grooms for your support! We were quote in an article called Always the Bridesmaids: Rules and etiquette of Being a Bridesmaid in the magazine Bride & Groom Canada. Another media highlight for us. We sold out all our gift certificates on Shopcorus within 2 days and some of you even gave us shoutouts after hearing our ad on Q92 radio station!

Then all the craziness of the weddings began! We did over 200 weddings and events this past year. Wow! It sure didn't seem like it! Here's a short video of our showroom and some of our favorite wedding decorations from this year.

Happy 2010!!!

Hello our blog readers! It's been more than a month since I posted. Last blog post was written in Malaysia. I was away for 5 weeks and it was a relaxed and very much needed vacation (even though I was constantly on my laptop doing work and preparing for the new wedding season, I was able to get enough sleep!). Here are a couple of photos from my trip that I wanted to share with you.






One day, we saw a bride and groom taking their wedding photos. Brings back good memory and I miss weddings so much!


Getting back home to Montreal on the evening of January 5, I started doing the last minute preparations for the wedding show that was to be setup on the 8th. We had a wonderful time meeting brides and grooms on the 9th and 10th. Here are our helpers at the booth. We had so much fun!

Now that we're back from the wedding show, we have another HUGE project! We are expanding our showroom and bringing in even more unique products and services. We have extended more than triple the size of our showroom! We are in the process of painting, rearranging and purchasing lots and lots of new samples of products we know our brides and grooms will absolutely love. We will be bringing in wedding gowns and setting up a studio for creative brides who wish to come in to use our tools to help with their DIY projects. Our studio will be in full operation some time in February. Keep checking back for our grand opening date!

Great Show!

I want to sincerely thank all the brides & grooms and wedding planners & vendors for stopping by my booth. It was great meeting everyone and seeing faces I haven't seen for a long time. Thanks for your support, it was very encouraging! Although it was tiring, I had a wonderful time both Saturday and Sunday.

Happy New Year!

Wow! It's so not like me. I haven't posted in more than 10 days!! I'm sorry for being away! I have been super busy, had to finish up my 2008 weddings and this week I'm busy busy busy preparing for the Wedding Show taking place this weekend at Bonaventure. I was (still am!) very sad that I couldn't even find time to make Christmas cards =( It was the first year without handmade Christmas cards. Boo! Hopefully next Christmas I can fit the tradition back into my schedule.

I will blog again after the wedding show, but just wanted to pop in here for a sec to finally say HAPPY NEW YEAR and that I'm still alive!

To all my readers, best wishes in 2009 and CONGRATULATIONS to all the brides and grooms. Have fun planning your special day!

2009 Wedding Shows

I've just added a huge list of wedding shows across Canada that will take place in 2009. Most likely, there are more than one show in your area that will take place during the first three months of 2009. So you should take a look at the schedule and plan ahead!

Here are some tips for you when you attend one or all of these shows:

- Visit booths like The Bay first so you can grab the huge bags they give you to keep all your flyers and printed information you collect.

- When you arrive, take a look at the list of vendors at the show and plan your route. Go to the vendors you want to speak with first. You can also do this in advance if the show has a website that offers a list of vendors who will be exhibiting.

- If you have swatches of materials that you have chosen to use for your wedding, bring those with you so that when you ask vendors questions, you can refer to those if need be.

- Ask lots and lots of questions! Even if you're not planning to use that particular vendor, don't be afraid to ask questions, they are professionals and they're there to help you at the show.

- If you're planning on entering all the draws and contests at the show, print some labels with your name, phone number, email address and wedding date so that you can stick a label on the ballots without having to spend 5 minutes filling out the information at every booth. This will save you a lot of time so that you can spend more time at the booths you really want to check out.

- You'll be doing a lot of walking and standing, so remember to wear comfortable shoes.

- Try to leave your winter jackets in the car (if you're not parked too far away) so you've one less thing to carry.

- Bring some cheques in case you want to book a vendor who's only offering a discount at the show. But don't rush to reserve the vendor if you're not too sure you want to hire them. Chances are you will end up regretting.

- You're probably not allowed to take any pictures of the booths and ideas you find helpful, so bring a notepad and try your best to jot down notes that will help you with your planning.

That's it! Now, ENJOY the show, no rush, stay as long as you like and have FUN! Especially with all the food sampling they have !
