5th Annual Wedding Bliss Bridal Gown Sale

I know I'm a little behind on the blogging... because we have big plans in the works!  But I still want to share with you something that took place 3 weeks ago...  The 5th Annual Wedding Bliss Bridal Gown Sale by New Beginnings Support Program.

New Beginnings is a charitable agency that has been working in the community to help improve the lives of women and children ‘in need’.  New Beginnings empowers women to become confident, self-sufficient, career-oriented and employable. This transition creates better lives for themselves, their children and their communities. Many job placement programs only prepare people for minimum wage employment with no further advancement.

In August a flood caused more than $100,000 in damages at New Beginnings. They lost over a years worth of wedding gown donations, records, furniture and office supplies.  They still have a long way to go to return to the fully functioning charity they once were.  To help them continue operations and continue to transform lives of women and children, all the proceeds from the 5th Annual Wedding Bliss Bridal Gown Sale go to their recovery efforts to get back on their feet.

A Timeless Celebration was in on the action!  We were an exhibitor and reception decor sponsor at Wedding Bliss.  It was really amazing seeing over 50 volunteers work so hard and pulling everything together.  Over 70 gowns were sold, more than $16,000 was raised and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the New Beginnings Support Program.

I finally had time to upload the pictures of the menus and the table names I made for the 4th Annual Professional Wedding Planners Conference Gala that took place a couple of weekends ago. Hope you like them!

The Brides' Ball

For those of you who are married, is your wedding gown sitting in your closet in the basement? Have you ever wanted to wear your wedding gown again? Well here's your chance! Not only do you get to wear your wedding gown again, in doing so, you are supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation!

Weddingring.ca is hosting a Brides' Ball on Saturday, February 23 (Kitchener, ON) and Friday, February 29 (London, ON). There will be a cocktail, dinner, lots of entertainment and dance & DJ through out the evening.

Even if you're not married, have you been a bridesmaid? It's time to pull out your bridesmaid's gown once again! Everyone is welcomed to this ball, the more the better because the proceeds go toward a very good cause. Check out their website for full ticket pricing, location and details.

Fundraiser Quiz Night

This coming Saturday, November 10 at 6:00pm, there will be a Fundraiser Quiz Night hosted by the Ottawa Chapter of the Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights (CLAIHR). The fundraiser will take place on Saturday, November 10 at 6:00pm. Part of the proceeds will go towards the CLAIHR Ottawa Chapter, some will go to their conference in February and another part will go to a humanitarian organization that hasn't been decided yet. If you're in Ottawa on Saturday, I really encourage you to go support this event. To participate in this awesome quiz night, each student team is $10 per person and $25 for non-students. There will be lots of law firms, professors and students battling it out! Each round you get prizes, big and small.

I have the privilege of sponsoring the table cards for this event. They have a global and international theme for the night. Each table will feature a country, facts and information is on each table card for the guests to enjoy and learn something about the country they're "at."
