Gold and Ivory with a Touch of Blue!

A heart warming email I received from my client...

"Thank you so so much for making everything work out exactly the way both myself and granddaughter wanted it. For two people who never had a meeting you understood everything the way we wanted it. It was super great she cried her eyes out when she saw the room."

Yup, that's right! The Grandmother and I have never met each other until a few hours before the celebration was to begin! Since April, I've been working with Grandmother of a young lady who was turning 18 in September. The celebration was to take place at Chateau Vaudreuil with 30 families and friends. Grandmother designed the entire party and everything was a surprise. Everything, except the centerpieces, which Grandmother did ask for Granddaughter's approval, hehe!

Grandmother contacted me to create some gold and ivory feather centerpieces for the evening, but ended up with so much more as we brainstormed different ideas together. Here's what we have arranged together for the celebration Grandmother gave to Granddaughter...

Nimah & Ryan's Wedding

Nimah and Ryan are friends of mine and they are such a wonderful couple. Except for that one time when we went to an Indian restaurant, we always go for Chinese food when we hang out. They even had Chinese food for their wedding! I truly appreciate their friendship. They know I am always up late working and am tired all the time, they really encourage and support me by simply sending me short text messages like "How are you? Hope everything is well!" This is something I learned from them, even though it's just a few words, it shows that they were thinking of me and they really care! I love you guys! Congrats once again and God bless!

Edible Placecards

What's there not to love about cookies and chocolate at a wedding? Cookies can serve double duty: a placecard and a favor for your guests.

The cookie placecards above is from Sweet Impressions located in Winnipeg. Yay, a Canadian company! They have different options such as cookies, chocolate, mint, candies, organic and vegan ingredients. They wrap their baking in biodegradable cellophane and ribbons and they operate out of a peanut-free facility.

Here's another Canadian company where you can order your placecard cookies: LPK's Culinary Groove.
