When you go reception hall hunting, try to “forget” to mention the word WEDDING when you request a sample menu package. Tell the reception hall it’s a party or an event you’re planning. We all know that the word WEDDING associated with anything will have a higher mark-up but in reality, you’re getting the same package as say a family reunion or a retirement party. Once you find out their regular priced menu, you will be in a better position to negotiate for the menu and services you want.
