InterContinental Hotel Montreal

The Montreal Certified Planners of the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada got together last night for a mini cocktail hosted by the InterContinental Hotel. We would really like to thank Maria-Jose Castallon, her director, Thierry Noire, Nichole (the lady who served us and stayed with us that extra 2 hours until 10:30pm!), the chef and the rest of the staff for hosting our group.

InterContinental Hotel is such a gorgeous venue for any event. La Ruelle was actually my first choice for our own wedding 1.5 years ago but unfortunately my 450-guest wedding wouldn't have fit. We did a thorough site inspection of the hotel. All of us were very impressed by what it has to offer brides, grooms and their guests.

Great Show!

I want to sincerely thank all the brides & grooms and wedding planners & vendors for stopping by my booth. It was great meeting everyone and seeing faces I haven't seen for a long time. Thanks for your support, it was very encouraging! Although it was tiring, I had a wonderful time both Saturday and Sunday.

Happy New Year!

Wow! It's so not like me. I haven't posted in more than 10 days!! I'm sorry for being away! I have been super busy, had to finish up my 2008 weddings and this week I'm busy busy busy preparing for the Wedding Show taking place this weekend at Bonaventure. I was (still am!) very sad that I couldn't even find time to make Christmas cards =( It was the first year without handmade Christmas cards. Boo! Hopefully next Christmas I can fit the tradition back into my schedule.

I will blog again after the wedding show, but just wanted to pop in here for a sec to finally say HAPPY NEW YEAR and that I'm still alive!

My fiance and I are back from the Let's Get Married Bridal Show and I grabbed lots of free magazines and lots of business cards. We've been to many wedding shows before, as wedding planners, decorators, vendors and this time, as bride and groom-to-be. Let's Get Married Bridal Show

The annual biggest bridal show in Quebec is coming again soon. This year, the Let's Get Married Bridal Show will take place January 10-11, 2008. Mark your calendars!

These bridal shows are a lot of fun if you haven't been to too many of them in the past. You get to meet all the vendors all under one roof. There are lots and lots of information and ideas to grab from this show. You might be overwhelmed with all the vendors there, so plan your visit wisely! You might want to scan the list of vendors and exhibitors on their website before going. Mark down the ones that interests you, perhaps write down some questions you might want to ask them.

Also, another word of advice, don't go lining up at the entrance a hour before the show opens! Why would you want to do that anyways? Pick a time, say two hours after the door opens to avoid the rush so that you get to actually speak to the vendors and they can give you more attention with less people around.
